We got the following mail
dear dr.bruno,i have been following your posts in rxpg regarding tnpsc closely..
thank you so much for all the info that you ve provided.my senior has been called for govt service under 10 a 1 (i do not know whether it is 10 a 1 or under relaxation of 10 a 1 rule…i am not well versed in these things)
the tnpsc exam is also to be conducted on 15 th feb.. he is a middle class person and wants to join govt service due to job security, service quota for pg and also because he is service oriented
he wants to enter govt service definitely and do pg at the earliest under service quota.
which will be a better option ? entering via 10 a 1 now or writing the tnpsc ?if he enters service via 10 a 1 now , will he be eligible for tnpsc..? & if he clears the tnpsc , does that provide any new options.
under 10 a 1 , is there any time frame before which he will be regularised… legally there may be none, but what is the usual time needed for thatsir, what would you do in this situation.. ?
we value your opinion very much.can you explain the disadavantages faced by a 10a1 candiate when compared to a tnpsc candidate (in terms of pay, service quota for pg etc)
ps…
am sure some of these might sound absurd to you… but we ve been unable to get the answers for even these absurd qns after discussing with so many seniorsthanks

//dear dr.bruno,
i have been following your posts in rxpg regarding tnpsc closely..
thank you so much for all the info that you ve provided.
my senior has been called for govt service under 10 a 1 (i do not know whether it is 10 a 1 or under relaxation of 10 a 1 rule…i am not well versed in these things)//
At present they are calling only for appointment under 10 A 1
//the tnpsc exam is also to be conducted on 15 th feb.. he is a middle class person and wants to join govt service due to job security, service quota for pg and also because he is service oriented//
Ask him to join
//he wants to enter govt service definitely and do pg at the earliest under service quota.
which will be a better option ? entering via 10 a 1 now or writing the tnpsc ?//
Ask him to attend the counselling, take a place, join there are then WRITE TNPSC on Feb 15. If he gets into the merit list, he will get the seniority of this merit list
Even if he does not get into the merit list, they will call for a special TNPSC soon. There a mere pass is enough. His services will be regularised later
//if he enters service via 10 a 1 now , will he be eligible for tnpsc..? & if he clears the tnpsc , does that provide any new options.//
Whether he enters service now or not, he is eligible for TNPSC.
Answered above
//under 10 a 1 , is there any time frame before which he will be regularised… legally there may be none, but what is the usual time needed for that//
If he gets in the merit list of General TNPSC, he will be regularised now
If not he has to clear the Special TNPSC and will be regularised subsequently
//sir, what would you do in this situation.. ?
we value your opinion very much.//
Attend counselling, take a seat, join there immediately, write feb 15 exam, prepare for interview, attend interview, wait for results…
//can you explain the disadavantages faced by a 10a1 candiate when compared to a tnpsc candidate (in terms of pay, service quota for pg etc)//
Pay is Same
10 A 1 candidate will be eligible for Service Quota after getting selected by General TNPSC or Special TNPSC
//ps…
am sure some of these might sound absurd to you… but we ve been unable to get the answers for even these absurd qns after discussing with so many seniors
thanks//
Hope you have got the answers
Just Remember one thing –> Joining Service under 10 A 1 is NOT a disqualification for you to write General TNPSC . Feel Free to ask more doubts

As far as I know, there is no quota. You can check with TNPSC
