IMPORTANT NOTICE

As per the mode of implementation of SC/ST reservation for allotment of PG seats in 50% All India PG Quota approved by Hon’ble Supreme Court, if the candidates of reserved category are not available, but the candidates available in the wait list, further allotment of seats even to unreserved category cannot be made in the 1st round of counseling.

The merit lists of SC and ST candidates forwarded by All India Institute of Medical Sciences for allotment of PG (Degree/Diploma) seats during the All India PG Counseling – 2008 have been exhausted but in the wait list candidates are available. Therefore, it is not possible to proceed further to continue the counseling with the 3200 Point Reservation Roster and allot seats to the candidates of unreserved category. This was also mentioned in Para 11(a) in the Prospectus of the All India PG Entrance Examination-2008.

The candidates from Rank No.-UR-2150 to UR-2493 will be considered in the 2nd round of counseling at their rank.

The counseling for allotment of MDS seats will be held on 15.03.2008 as scheduled.

Inconvenience Caused to the candidates is deeply regretted.

IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR SC CANDIDATES SUB: 50% ALL INDIA PG COUNSELLING-2008
Due to non-availability of ST candidates in the Merit List, the seats earmarked for ST candidates are to be allotted to SC candidates as per the procedure of reservation approved by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India.

It is, therefore, requested that all the SC candidates included in the merit list up to Rank No. SC-618 may be present at the counseling venue in the morning of 10th March, 2008 (Monday). If any SC candidate fails to report on 10th March, 08 he/she will be marked absent and will forfeit his/her claim for a seat under 50% All India PG Quota. He/She may make the arrangement for stay in Delhi upto the last day of counseling.
