The application form can be downloaded from the above website. Candidate may fill this form and
dispatch the same to the COE, KIMSDU, Karad along with a demand draft of 3000/- (Form Fee +
Entrance test Fee) so as to reach on or before 14/01/2012 (5.00pm) Demand draft should drawn on
any Nationalised Bank, in favour of Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences University, payable at Karad.
Results will be displayed on the Notice Board of Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences Deemed
University, Karad and will also be available on website at www.kimsuniversity.in Results of
individual candidate will not be communicated by post.
Counselling dates may be subjected to change and any change will be notified on the website
and the Notice Board of KIMSDU.

KaradRULES FOR SELECTION AND ADMISSION
The admission to PG courses shall be done as per the relevant Rules and Bye-laws of the University.
DEFINITIONS
1. Competent Authority means Controller of Examinations, Krishna Institute of Medical
Sciences Deemed University, Karad-415110.
2. Appropriate Institution means Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences Deemed University, where
the Post Graduate courses in Medical faculty are available.
3. Internship means 12 months compulsory rotating internship after passing the MBBS
examination as per the norms laid down by the Medical Council of India.
4. Recognized qualification means the Degree of MBBS obtained from any Medical College or
Institution in India, recognized by the Medical Council of India.
5. Registration means registration of MBBS qualification with the State Medical Council/Medical
Council of India after completion of internship.
Court Jurisdiction : Any legal matters arising out of the admission procedure of the PG courses
through All India Entrance Test of Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences Deemed University, will be
subject to Jurisdiction of the competent court in Karad, District-Satara and the Hon’ble High court of
Judicature at Mumbai as the case may be, with advance legal notice of one month to KIMSDU.

Competent Autority :
The Competent Authority reserves the right to add or reduce the examination centres. Due to
unforeseen circumstances, during the conduct of PG-AIET-2012 at a Centre(s) and in the contingencies
like incidence of mass copying, leakage of question paper, entrance of unauthorized persons in the
Examination centres/halls, natural calamities, riots, etc. rendering it impossible for the smooth conduct of PG-AIET-2012, the Competent Authority may cancel the examination at such or all centre(s)
and announce the new schedule for conduct of PG-AIET-2012.
2ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
1. The candidates, who possess Indian Nationality, with a proof in the form of Nationality
Certificate/valid passport, are eligible to appear for PG AIET.
Management candidates, who have passed from MCI recognized medical colleges, are also
eligible for PG AIET Examination.
2. The candidates, who have passed final MBBS examination from a recognized medical
college, included in the schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act,1956, are eligible.
The candidates should have obtained registration either from Medical Council of India or
authorized State Medical Council after completing one year compulsory rotating Internship.
3. The candidates, who are still undergoing one year compulsory rotating internship and are
likely to complete it by 31
st
March 2012, will be permitted to appear for PG AIET. His/Her selection will be subject to completion of compulsory rotating internship of one year and registration
before 15
th
April 2012. He/She will have to submit documentary evidence from the Principal/
Dean of the college regarding the anticipated date of completion of internships along with the
application, failing which, his/her application shall be rejected.

Increase in seats in Pediatrics, Obs.Gyn., Orthopedice, Anesthesia, Radiology are subject to approval
of MCI and Govt. of India. The said will be notified on the website.ADMISSION PROCEDURE
1. Candidates must obtain 50% or more marks at PG AIET to qualify for admission.
2. The provisional selection for the General seats in the Post Graduate courses will be done
on the basis of merit in the Post Graduate All India Entrance Test-2012.
3. Management Seats : 50% seats are reserved as management seats. The candidate
desirous of seeking admission against management seats should apply separately in the
prescribed form, available on the University Website. The selection of candidates for
management seats will be done according to the inter se merit of the applicants in the
entrance test.(PG-AIET 2012)
Rules for Refund of fees:
Admission to the PG course can be cancelled at the request of the student on submission of an
Application for cancellation. Refund of the fees in such cases shall be done as per the rules given
below :
CONDUCT OF PG AIET-2012
a) All the candidates shall attend PG AIET at their own cost.
b) The candidates shall not bring cellular mobile phones, pagers, calculators
etc. in the examination hall.
c) No marks will be assigned where there is over writing, scratching, double marking, or for
multiple answers.
SCHEME OF ENTRANCE TEST
1. Duration : 3 hours
2. Marks : Maximum marks : 300
3. Questions: : 300 objective type Multiple choice questions
(MCQs). Each MCQ will have four answer options
and a single best response.
4. Negative Marking : There will be no negative marking.
5 Standard (level) of Test : MBBS examination standards.
6 Subjects: All subjects of MBBS course.

RESULT AND MERIT LIST
1. The Competent Authority will conduct the PG AIET, declare the result and prepare the mark list.
2. The merit list will be displayed on the notice board of Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences Deemed
University, Karad on 24/02/2012 and will also be available on website at www.kimsuniversity.in
TIE BREAK FOR EQUAL MARKS
In case two or more students obtain an equal number of marks at the entrance test (i.e. in case of a
tie) the following procedure shall be adopted for deciding the final merit:
If there is a tie between two or more candidates having equal marks at PG entrance test, then –
First level : The candidate, having more marks in the final year of MBBS examination will be
preferred, if the tie still persists, thenSecond Level : The candidate, having higher aggregate marks in all the university examinations of
MBBS course will be preferred, if the tie still persists, then-
6Third Level : The candidate, having more marks in the subject of his/her choice (for PG) at the
university examination of the MBBS course will be preferred.
COUNSELLING AND ADMISSIONS
As per the merit list, the candidates, who qualify, will be called for counselling at Krishna Institute of
Medical Sciences Deemed University, Karad. Counselling will be done by Counselling committee.
The selected candidates will have to join the course on or before 15/4/2012. The admission will be
done on provisional basis.
Verification of Marks
If the candidate wishes to verify the Answer sheet, a written representation in prescribed proforma
should be submitted to the Competent Authority within 4 days of declaration of results along with DD
of Rs. 1000/- drawn on nationalized bank in favour of Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences University,
payable at Karad.
Disqualification for admission
Any candidate himself or his Authorized Proxy, if found obstructing the admission process or trying to
influence in any manner or creating nuisance, the candidate shall be liable of disqualification from the
admission process. The decision taken by the University shall be final and binding.
Conduct and Discipline
1. Failure of the candidate in making full and correct statements in the application form and /or
suppression of any information is liable for disqualification of the candidate, even at later date.
Such a candidate will be debarred from the entire selection process and from pursuing the
course of studies.
2. It is the responsibility of every candidate to submit proper documents. Any attempt to submit
documents, which are not genuine, will lead to cancellation of the admission of the candidate,
forfeiture of the fees, deposits and expulsion of the candidate from the college by the
Competent Authority or by his authorized official. The name of such candidate/s shall be deleted
from the Merit list.
3. The student while studying in the PG Course, if found indulging in antinational activities,
unlawful activities or ragging in any form, contrary to the provisions of Acts and Law enforced
by University, will be liable to be expelled from the University.
4. All candidates selected for admission shall be subject to the disciplinary rules of the
University.
The candidates have to give an undertaking for completion of the course and have to get Eligibility
Certificates from the University. Students shall submit the Eligibility form at the time of joining the
course. Relevant information is to be filled in the Eligibility form and necessary documents as
mentioned in the form along with Xerox copies shall be attached. Original documents will be duly
returned to the candidate after completion of the admission procedure.
7FEE STRUCTURE
(1)Tuition and other Fees: For General merit seats For Management Seats
Post-Graduate Degree(MD/MS) 6,05,000 per annum 7,15,000 per annum
Post-Graduate Diploma 6,05,000 per annum 7,15,000 per annum
Demand Draft of the amount of fees shall be drawn on any nationalized bank, payable at Karad and
favouring Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences University, Karad.
(2) University Eligibility and Registration fee: 20,000/- & for Management seat 25,000/-. This fee
shall be paid by the student separately at the time of filing eligibility application through a demand draft,
payable at Karad, drawn in favour of Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences University, Karad.
Other conditions and formalities will be as per the rules of Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences,
Deemed University, Karad.
SUBSEQUENT SELECTION ROUND
The notification will be published on web-site and displayed on University’s notice board for the
subsequent selection round, to be conducted by the Competent Authority for those vacant seats,
where candidates have not joined.
The candidate should submit photocopies of the following documents along with the
application form:
1) Mark Memos of I,II,III MBBS examination 2) Attempt certificate 3) MBBS Degree/Passing
certificate 4) Internship Completion Certificate. 5) Registration Certificate (MCI/State MMC) 6) Age
& Nationality Certificate and 7) Bonafide Certificate from Dean.
The candidate should fill in the application form in his/her own handwriting, clearly and legibly.
Incomplete application forms are liable to be rejected. The candidates are requested to read the
brochure carefully and get acquainted with all the necessary information before filling the application
form. The candidates should ensure that the right and correct postal address is written in the
application form. The University shall not be responsible for loss of any communication due to
incorrect address given by the candidate. The candidate should send their application form by
Registered Post AD or hand it over in person at the office of Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences
Deemed University, Karad so as to reach the University Office on or before the last date of submission of forms (14/01/2012 at 5.00 p.m.) The candidate should clearly mention the choice of subject
on the application form.
8PHOTOGRAPHS
Two recent photographs, taken from the same negative, without cap or goggles, taken within the last
six months should be pasted: one on the application form and the other on the Admit card, attached to
the inside of the back cover.
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR CANDIDATE

2. Candidates must preserve the receipt and Admit Card safely and bring the same to the
examination hall and produce the same on demand by the Invigilator/supervisor.
3. Candidate should occupy the seat in the examination hall at list thirty minutes before the
commencement of the test.
4. Details such as seat number, etc. must be entered carefully on the test booklet.
5. No candidate will be allowed to leave the examination hall till the end of the test.
6. In case of the loss of the Admit card, it shall be obligatory on the part of the candidate to
procure a Duplicate Admit Card, not later than one hour before the commencement of
the test, on production of sufficient evidence to prove that he/she is the genuine/bonafide
examinee (Receipt issued by the University Authority).
7. The photograph on application form and photography on Admit Card should be taken
from the same negative.
8. Please note that issue of Admit card is just an enabling provision for appearing at
PG-AIET and does not imply that the candidate satisfies all the requirements of
eligibility conditions of admission.
9. Please quote your application number in further correspondence.
10. The University will dispatch Admit card on the address given by the candidates in his/
her application form. The receipt of Admit Card issued by Krishna Institute of Medical
Sciences Deemed University, Karad, is the entire responsibility of the candidate. Competent Authority does not bear any responsibility for non-receipt of the Admit card.
11. Candidate should enter their “Third MBBS” marks in the block meant for “Third MBBS
Part II” marks in the application form, if “Part I and Part II” is not applicable.
