Based on the recent MCI increment of seats it has been calculated that the SBCM may get ONLY total of 13 clinical degree seats… This calculation is right or wrong please comment on this.

sir, these increased seats ll be available for tanilnadu counselling only or 50% increased seats ll be surrendered to second round of all india counselling? Because seats have been increased in all medical colleges in India

Logically, 50 % of increase has to be surrendered to AIPG
But we are not sure the policy decision they are likely to take

some underground works are going to include 10 a 1 candidates by issuing special GO.this is the reason for delay. If u have doubt contact selection comtee by showing u as a 10a1 candidate for clarification, they ll reply u like this “we r waiting for GO to include 10a1”

      Dr. Ismail.,

According to recent MCI release, there are 423 (Clin) + 109 (Non Clin) = 532 seats (exclusively) were allocated. If we calculate 532/2 =266 (Service); 266/100 x 3.5 = 9.31 seats. So there should only 9 seats suppose to be allocated to Ser-BCM in 2010. Not … Sorry…

Only reason for delay is TNPSC results . DME will not release the merit list before TNPSC results.

    1. TNPG – 2010 1st round of Counselling starts on APRIL 6 , 2010

how come the TNPSC results anounced without conducting orals?it take around two months for conducting orals and final results.unless orals the result is incomplete.see the prospectus its clearly says TNPSC selected candidates only eligible for councelling.its not possible this year for 10a1 candidates.even regular tnpsc candidates plan to file a case, first conducted tnpsc results must released first.

    Sir,

I read in the news the ratio of PG seats will be twice for example one prof can take two students. From the MCI list the seats are increased reasonably in the Gen medicine and surgery. But the other specialities like Peadiatrics, OG, Derm ortho etc are not increased in the same manner. I dont know why? Are they increased accoring to the request from the concern institutions or it is rejected after the MCI review. Recently established private colleges has got considerable increase as per the new policy but very old govt colleges has not granted. I request the TNGDA DASE office bearers should take this issue to the govt of tn to get the relevant increase wrt the new policy in all relevant specialities. Atleast few more talented students will get oppurtunities. Otherwise PG seat is one of a biggest dream of each and every medicos.
