JAIPUR: The Rajasthan Yuva Doctors Foundation (RYDF) members and candidates of the Rajasthan pre-PG entrance examination on Wednesday protested against the Rajasthan University of Health Sciences alleging irregularities in the entrance test and demanded a re-examination.The agitating medical students also met Pradesh Congress Committee president Chandrabhan seeking his intervention in the matter.
The students alleged that the test conducted online for the first time had lots of technical problems and they also alleged that the question paper was leaked.
The Jaipur Association of Resident Doctors (JARD) extended support to the agitating doctors. JARD president Ashok Jhajharia said, “To give equal justice to all the candidates, the health university should conduct written test rather than holding online examination.”
The agitators also decided to stage dharna outside the university from Thursday.
RYDF state coordinator Vivek Machra said, “It is equal to injustice for the students. The university should take a call on our demand by Thursday to decide on re-examination. Otherwise, we will step up our agitation.”
Police also reached the university to take the situation under control when a member of the RYDF threatened self-immolation.
