Difference between Special TNPSC and General TNPSC

February 9, 2009 by TargetPG 4 Comments

Update : One of the users of this site, Dr.Senthil Kumar, writes to us

sir ,

the hall tickets for tnpsc have come..

those in chennai and vellore have got it today… others would probably get it tomorrow

Difference between Special TNPSC and General TNPSC

WHAT IS THIS SPECIAL TNPSC
Special TNPSC is an Exam conducted for those who have been appointed
1. Under Rule 10 A 1
2. Relaxation of Rule 10 A 1
3. Compulsary Service
4. Compassionate Ground
etc
IN WHAT WAY IT DIFFERS FROM GENERAL TNPSC
General TNPSC is conducted for a fixed number of seats. For example if it is for 500 seats, the top 500 candidates will be given posting. Even if you get 190/200, if 500 people have taken 191, then you will not get the seat
In Special TNPSC, it is enough if you take the pass mark. The marks taken by others do not matter IN REGULARISING Your service, but marks are important in determining your seniority
WHAT HAPPENS IF A CANDITATE FAILS TO PASS THIS SPECIAL TNPSC
If the candidate fails in special TNPSC, he has to wait till the next special TNPSC and when he clears that, his seniority will be decided on that basis

    //whats relaxation of 10A 1?//

That is a mode of appointment. For example the former CMCs and CMOs were appointed in time scale by relaxation of Rule 10 A 1
