CHENNAI: With the probe into the alleged malpractices in the entrance examination for postgraduate medical courses conducted by the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences almost complete, the Central Bureau of Investigation’s Anti-Corruption Branch, Chennai, will file the charge sheet soon.
A report on the broken parts of a pen scanner, used in the offence, is awaited from the forensic science laboratory, a source in the investigating agency told The Hindu .
Eleven persons were arrested. Cell phones, SIM cards, broken parts of a “pen scanner,” a laptop computer, cash and a computer printer were seized. Besides the candidates who benefited, there were experts to provide assistance.
