PG Degree Courses are available in the following disciplines:
Clinical Sciences: Anaesthesiology, Community Medicine, Dermatology Venerelogy &
Leprosy, General Medicine, General Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedic Surgery, Otorhinolaryngology, Pediatrics, Radio-Diagnosis and Tuberculosis & Respiratory Diseases.
Basic Clinical Sciences: Anatomy, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Pathology, Pharmacology and Physiology.
PG Diploma Courses: Diploma in Dermatology, Venerology & Leprosy, Diploma in Ophthalmology, Diploma in Orthopaedics, Diploma in Pediatrics and Diploma in
Radiodiagnosis
Duration of Degree Course: PG degree courses MD / MS is for three years from
1st April 2008 to 31st March 2011.
Duration of Diploma Course: PG diploma is for two years from 1st April 2008 to
31st March 2010.
Number of seats: Out of the 70 seats available for April 2008 session in JIPMER,
35 seats under All India Quota will be allotted by the DGHS through the All India Entrance Examination conducted by DGHS / AIIMS on 13.01.2008. JIPMER will not issue / receive applications for these seats. The remaining 35 seats are being filled by the competitive Admission Test conducted by JIPMER on 17th February 2008 (Sunday). The distribution of these 35 seats among the various specialities for April 2008 session is represented in the following tables.
