Mode of Admission
UPUMCWA is conducting UPPGMET-2011 for admission in M.D./M.S./ Post Graduate
Diploma course from the academic session starting in 2011for and on behalf of member
colleges in compliance with order of Hon’ble Allahabad High Court Lucknow Bench vide
Writ Petition No. 4265(MB) 2006 and writ petition No. 276(MB)2007.
Admission will be done as per the merit list prepared in the manner mentioned in this brochure
on the basis of marks secured in the above UPPGMET-2012.
Reservation
Reservation shall be applicable as notified by the Govt. and enforced at the time of
Counselling.
OBC Caste Category shall be determined on the basis of list
published by UP Govt.

Affix the recent passport size
photograph at the designated place in the
filled in form and put the signatures in
Hindi and English.
Send the aforesaid form by Speed Post
along with a DD of ` 1000/- in favour of
UPUMCWA payable at Bareilly to the Coordinator
UPPGMET-2012, Ist Floor,
Anand Ashram Complex, Rampur Garden,
Bareilly so as to reach latest by Feb. 10,
2012.
Please attach the Xerox copies of the
documents (as mentioned on page no.5 of
this brochure) with the filled in application
form.
UPUMCWA will not be responsible for any
delay in receiving of completed application
form along with all enclosures either on the
part of post office or for any other reason.

The application form after scrutiny shall be
processed and applicant will be provided
the facility to download his/her admit card
along with roll no. from the website:
www.upumcwa.org. The admit card will
allow one to appear in the entrance test.
Appropriate information regarding centres
shall be mentioned on the admit card.
If any document/declaration submitted
by the candidate is found to be false at
any stage his/her candidature will be
cancelled and he/she may be liable for
prosecutions under law. In case of any
legal dispute the jurisdiction will be
limited to Bareilly Courts only.
The candidates are also instructed to note
the Application Form No. (in case the form
is filled & submitted online) and to keep
photocopy of submitted application form
along with proof of having submitted the
application form for any future reference.
Incomplete Application Forms will be
rejected.

General Information
Regarding UPPGMET-2012
lUPPGMET-2012 will be organised for admission in MD/MS/ Post Graduate Diploma
Courses for Academic Session 2012-13 in member colleges.
lThe entrance examination will be held on February 27, 2012, Monday from 10:00 AM
to 1:00 PM.
lThere will be a total no. of 250 objective type multiple choice questions as per the
guideline of syllabus given in the appendix of this brochure.
lThe UPPGMET-2012 will consists of a maximum of 500 marks.
lMinimum cut-off pass percentage of marks in UPPGMET-2012 shall be 50%
(40% in case of SC/ST/OBC) and merit shall be determined on the basis of marks
secured in UPPGMET-2012.
lThere will be negative marks of 1/4 for each wrong answer.
lMore than one answer marked in OMR answer sheet will also be considered as wrong
answer.
lOnly Black Ball Point Pen shall be used for answering on OMR answer sheet as
per direction given in the OMR Sheet.

Conduct of Examination
lCentre for Examination : The suitable no. of examination centres for UPPGMET-2011
will only be in the following city:
New Delhi / Delhi
lThe examination schedule will remain unaltered even if the above date is declared as a
public holiday.
lUse of calculator, log table, digital diary, cell phone or any mode of communication is
strictly prohibited during the examination.
lCandidates will have to be biometrically verified at the entrance of examination
premises. Therefore, all the candidates must report to the allotted examination centre
at 9:00 AM sharp.
lOnce entered, the candidates will not be allowed to go outside the examination premises
till the completion of the examination.
lAll the candidates must take their seats 15 minutes before the commencement of
examination & fill up all the relevant information. For this no extra time will be given.
lParents/Guardians/accompanying person will not be allowed to enter in the examination
premises.
lSeal of question paper should be broken only after the announcement by the
invigilators.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
The candidate must have completed M.B.B.S. course from an institute duly recognized
by Medical Council of India.
The Internship of the candidate must be completed before April 01, 2012.
The candidate must have his/her registration with State Medical Council / Medical
Council of India.
For NRI / Foreign candidates, the above mentioned criteria must be approved by the
Medical Council of India.

The candidates should fill-in the application form neatly and legibly and submit with the
following enclosures:-

c. Xerox Copy of Mark Sheet of 10+2 duly attested by gazetted officer/principal of
institution.
d. Xerox Copy of 10th Standard certificate duly attested by gazetted officer/principal of
institution as a proof of age.
e. Photocopy of Caste Certificate for SC & ST issued by competent authority.
f. Photocopy of Caste Certificate for OBC issued by competent authority after March
2011.

Enclosures
Admit Card
lRegistration Slips will be available for download from the website www.upumcwa.org
on February 22th, 2012. On submission of the same the admit cards will be distributed at
the examination center.
lIf a candidate is unable to download his/her admit card due to any technical problem,
he/she may contact on phone number +91-9897600270 or Coordinator’s Mobile No.
+91-9412761020 for necessary assistance.
Duplicate admit card will be issued at the examination center between 8:00 AM to 09:45
AM on the day of examination i.e. February 27, 2012(Monday).
To get the duplicate admit card candidate should contact the observer-UPPGMET-2012 at
the Examination Center with the following :-
a. Two passport size photographs, similar to that pasted on application
form i.e. from the same negative.
b. Rs. 100/- as fee for duplicate admit card.
c. Photocopy of Application Form along with Application Form No. (if filled &
submitted online)
d. Proof of sending the application form through Speed Post.
e. Proof of identity such as Passport/Voter ID Card/Pan Card/DL/High School
Certificate etc. which must consist the photograph of candidate.

lThe answers to questions given by Panel of Paper Setters of respective papers and the
result based on those answers shall be final and unchallengeable.
lEvaluation of Answer sheets (Barcoded OMR Sheets) shall be done through computer
only. There will be no revaluation of answer sheets in any case.
lThere will be negative marks of 1/4 for each wrong answer.
lThe merit will be prepared on the basis of the marks obtained in UPPGMET-2012
conducted by UP Unaided Medical Colleges Welfare Association (UPUMCWA)
subject to minimum cut-off percentage.
lThe percentage will be calculated up to two decimals precision.
lMinimum cut-off pass percentage of marks in UPPGMET-2012 shall be 50%
(40% in case of SC/ST/OBC).
lIn case where two or more candidates obtaining equal percentage of marks, the rank of
such candidates shall be determined on the basis of the Date of Birth of both candidates
& candidate with higher age will be placed at higher merit.
lAll successful candidates will be informed through webiste www.upumcwa.org hence
the candidates are advised to visit the website www.upumcwa.org for relevant
information.

Result/Merit
Counselling
There will be two counsellings on the basis of merit of UPPGMET-2012. The schedule
and procedure will be informed through the Association’s Website at
