TNPG 2013 seat availability is like TNPGs 1999,2000, 2004,2006 – Different from past 6 years
Unlike what we have seen in the past 6 years

There is a high probability for this year TNPG seat availability will be like 1999,2000, 2004,2006

So

Please don’t assume based on past few years

There is a high chance one may get the same seat for a lower mark this year, when compared to last year because of (1) MRB (2) Additional Seats in colleges like GTMC. Theni Medical College

This year MRB is conducting recruitment for 911 assistant surgeons

Many TNPG Toppers, especially those not active in RxPG will prefer to join service Similar to 1999, 2000, 2004, 2006

If MRB results are declared before TNPG Counselling, like how it happened in 1999, 2000, 2004, 2006 it is a good news

Of course, MRB is not TNPSC (the differences are given here), but still many will be expected to join service

-oOo-

Now

If you join a diploma in 2013 as Private Candidate

  • Join Diploma in 2013
  • Complete Diploma in 2015
  • Post PG Bond till 2017
  • Join Masters in 2017
  • Complete Same Same Specialty Master in 2019 or Different Specialty Master in 2020

If you join Service in 2013 and are eligible for PG in 2016, chances are you will get a master degree with your Additional Marks, Additional Years of Preparation and Service Quota and can complete Masters in 2019

-oOo-

Coming to the difference between doing Joining service through Regular TNPSC and doing PG or joining MD / MS  first, it depends on whether you want super specialisation

If you want DM MCh, Joining service is better

If you join service in 2013 and if you are eligible for TNPG 2016

  • Eligible for TNPG 2016
  • Complete MD in 2019
  • Eligible for DM in 2019
  • Complete DM in 2022

If you join PG in 2013

  • Complete PG in 2016
  • Eligible for DM in 2019
  • Complete DM in 2022

But

After that
The person who joined service in 2013 and get selected by an earlier TNPSC will get promoted earlier than the person who joined service in 2016 and got selected by a later TNPSC

-oOo-

The above advice is valid, if the recruitment is through Regular TNPSC
But this year, it is through MRB
So, your chance of appearing for TNPG 2016 as Service candidates depends on any of the following
1. MRB being considered as General TNPSC
or
2. Special TNPSC being conducted and results announced before April 2016

-oOo-

There are so many possibilities

Please understand the intricacies of the service rules, TNPSC Regulations, Conditions of the Bond etc

Don’t just assume
Don’t just do what some one did last year
Don’t get advice from some one who does not know these finer aspects

All the best

-oOo-

Options for those in Tamil Nadu Medical Services are discussed at this post

      //

Until you take a PG as service candidate,You can resign any time
This is not needed to be mentioned in the instructions
They cannot mention that you are permitted CL, you are permitted RH, you are permitted to drink lassi, you are permitted to wear shirts etc

      //pls you explain here.dont say refer.//
      It has been already mentioned
      Why can’t you refer
Why you want us to type the same thing again and again

sir, i am a all india candidate……. according to mock counselling , i am getting dmrd in stanley……..
since dmrd is a scarce specialty according to tamilnadu, is the bond for 10 lakhs or 20 lakhs???……
also in case we need to break bond , do we need to return stipend also?????
    (its not been mentioned anywhere)
    thanks in advance

10 lakhs and stipend . for repaying regarding stipend amount it ll be mentioned in the bond form for non service candidates available in colleges . bond period for DMRD is 5 years. but what is actually followed is 3 years.

DMRD – good&easy earning – comfortable life style- loss of clinical practice
anes- good earning – uncomfortable life style(if one needs good earning)-loss of clinical practice.
gen med-moderate earning initially-moderately comfortable life style- good clinician status -if one does not have or feels difficult to develop good communication skills as a practitioner there is need for super specialization.

Sir in the TNPG prospectus there is no information regarding Pvt Medical Colleges, Last year we did see few candidates taking seats in PSG Coimbatore as they surrendered the seats during an later time probably after first round of TNPG counselling. Since due to court case there is already a delay in admission, during the first day of counselling can we see all the private colleges such as CMC vellore / PSG Coimbatore surrendering the Govt Quota seats as mentioned in the Dr MGR University Website.

usually there ll be separate counselling between first and second rounds for GOVT quota PG seats in pvt colleges(PSG mainly) . cmc vellore wont show seats as they have stay in high court and they are also the main petitioners in NEET Case. MGR university does not have administrative powers in controlling the ADMISSIONS of pvt colleges. it has academic powers only. state govt has some powers .
mostly top level seats are never shown for govt quota.

no question of intercaste issue arising for B.C marrying B.C .intercaste priority is applicable for selections through employment exchange only. its not applicable for asst surgeon recruitment through TNPSC or not notified in MRB for asst surgeon.
